ASAP 2012 stars celebrate the Chinese New Year at the Quirino Grandstand

Libo-libong fans ang dumagsa sa Quirino Grandstand Luneta Park noong nakaraang Linggo, January 22, para mapanood ang pagdiriwang ng Chinese New Year ng ASAP 2012. Star-studded ang nasabing pagtatanghal. Halos lahat ng ASAP Kapamilya stars ay nandun para makiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Chinese New Year. Pinalamutian ng mala-Chinese temple at China Town ang stage ng Quirino Grandstand, pulang pula ang kulay nito at punung puno ng pink Chinese flowers na may malaking dragon na nagbubuga ng puting usok.

Bonggang bongga ang pagtatanghal ng ASAP noong Linggo lalo ang makulay na opening number ng mga ASAP Kapamilya stars. Sinimulan ang pagtatanghal ng mga dragon dances. Sinundan ito ng opening song number ng dalawang heartthrobs ng Kapamilya na sina Piolo Pascual at Sam Milby kasama sina Xian Lim, Enchong Dee at Enrique Gil.

Tilian naman ang mga tao nang lumabas si Cristine Reyes suot ang isang sexy red Chinese dress with matching hairdress. Nakasakay siya sa isang Chinese cart na bitbit ng kanyang boyfriend na si Rayver Cruz na nakasuot din ng Chinese wardrobe. Sinundan sila ng mga masiglang awit nina Yeng Constantino, Iya Villania, Angeline Quinto, Nikki Gil at Karylle na pawang nakasuot din ng red dresses na may Chinese-inspired head dresses. Muling nagtilian ang mga libu libong manonood nang lumabas sa stage sina Kim Chiu, Empress at Julia Montes na sumayaw hawak-hawak ang kani-kanilang swords.

Di nagpatalo sa pagbirit ang tatlong ASAP Champions na sina Christian Bautista, Erik Santos at Jed Madela na nagpatalbugan sa pagkanta. Todo bigay naman sa pagsayaw ang dalawa sa prince at princess ng dance floor na sina Maja Salvador at John Prats. Kung lahat ay nakapula, lumabas naman ng stage na naka blue Chinese dress with blue hairdress ang Princess Pop Star na si Sarah Geronimo bilang pagtatapos sa kanilang opening number.

Matapos ang kanilang opening number ay bumaba ang mga ASAP stars sa mga fans para makipag kamay bilang pasasalamat sa pagdalo sa nasabing selebrasyon.

Bumirit rin ang champion ng Pinoy Dream Academy Season 1 na si Yeng Constantino at ang dalawang Grand Champions ng Pilipinas Got Talent na sina Jovit Baldivino at Marcelito Pomoy. Kabilang sa programa ng ASAP 2012 noong Linggo ay ang presentasyon ng mga cast members ng mga bagong teleserye ng ABS-CBN tulad ng Mundo Man Ay Magunaw, Precious Heart Romances, Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin, at E-Boy.

Nag promote din sina Maja Salvador at Matteo Guidicelli kasama si Xian Lim para kanilang pelikulang #MyCactusHeart. Present din apat na child wonder na bida sa Ikaw Ay Pag-ibig, na sina Xyriel Manabat, Zaijian Jaranilla, Mutya Orquia at Louise Abuel, para sa pagtatapos ng kanilang telserye. Isa rin sa mga highlilghts ng program ay ang dance number nina KC Concepcion at Cristine Reyes kasama sina Enchong Dee at Enrique Gil.

Bagamat mainit dahil sa tindi nang sikat ng araw ng hapon na iyon ay umuwi namang masaya ang mga fans dahil nakita nila ng live ang kanilang mga paboritong ASAP Kapamilya stars.

Noong 8 p.m. naman ay ipinagdiwang din sa parehong venue ang Chinese New Year Countdown kasama ang Kapamilya stars sa pangunguna ni Ms. Kris Aquino. Nang gabing iyon ay nag interview si Kris ng isang feng shui expert upang gabayan ang mga tao para sa 2012 na tinanghal na Year of the Water Dragon.

Last Sunday, January 22, in celebration of Chinese New Year, ASAP 2012 had a special at Quirino Grandstand. Then later at night, same venue, a countdown was also held. Being a half-Chinese that he is, of course Enchong Dee was present at both events!
