Your Song Presents: Boystown (2009)
About
In Your Song Presents Boystown, Star Magic cuties Enchong Dee, Robi Domingo, AJ Perez, Sam Concepcion, Dino Imperial, Aron Villaflor, and Chris Gutierrez come together in a story that would essentially differentiate teenage boys from real men. Situated at a reform center supposedly for juvenile delinquents and street children, Cottage No.5 houses four rebellious teens who have no sense of purpose up until coach Daniel have encouraged them to join the swimming team led by Arnel. Their lives become more complicated, however, as the latter inevitably meets rich preppy boy Arkin who takes an instant dislike towards him. Are they merely rivals to Karen’s heart or is there a deeper reason why they keep on crossing each other’s paths?

Casts
- Enchong Dee as Arnel – For someone whose life has no sense of direction for the longest time, Arnel surprisingly possesses an enviable skill in swimming that can open doors of opportunities for him. But what if love comes in the way and a whole bunch of troubles with it? Can he swim his race to the finish line or will he be good-for-nothing all his life?
- Robi Domingo as Arkin – There is nothing else he could ask for in life because he already has a wealthy family, good education, and the perfect girlfriend. But living up to his dad’s exceedingly high expectations is next to impossible and it makes him rebel against him even more. How long will he take for granted the fact that he truly has it all?
- Sam Concepcion as Bobet – When his mom abandoned him at Boystown many years ago, he has never forgotten about her promise to come back for him when he turns 17 years old. Will he ever face the truth that it was nothing but a lie for her to easily get rid of him at the time?
- AJ Perez as Ricky – He left home when he was only 12 years old to escape domestic violence and has resided in Boystown since then. Amongst his peers, he is the disciplinarian and a stickler for details especially when it comes to following house rules. Will he learn how to loosen up once in a while like most of his friends?
- Dino Imperial as Chad – As the resident jerk, he is the one starting most of the fights between his influential group and the boys in Cottage No.5. Deep down he harbors hatred towards relationship-wreckers because it reminds him how his dad left his mom for another woman.
- Arron Villaflor as Raul – At an early age, he learned that life is a jungle and it’s up to him to do whatever it takes to survive without relying to anyone else for help. But coming to Boystown will definitely give him a fresh outlook and become more open towards other people.
- Chris Gutierrez as Brent – Not only has he no sense of identity, he also looks up to the wrong guy in terms of making his decisions. This often leads him into all sorts of trouble because he never really had proper guidance from his parents. When will he realize that being close to Chad isn’t really the cool thing to do?

- #01 | May 10 | Boystown loses all its sponsors. The annual sports fest in Boystown turns into a disaster as Arnel gets caught in a brawl with Otap together with their friends. Worse, one of the female sponsors accidentally falls down the pool and is naturally furious with the whole incident. Instead of promoting camaraderie, the sports fest has become a venue for quarrelsome teenagers so she and the other sponsors refuse to support their sports program anymore.
This causes the head of Boystown to panic as the institution wouldn’t have developed over the years because of them. She begins to take heart though after Mr. Santillan promises to give them another chance by organizing a swimming challenge. However, Arnel and the boys from Cottage No.5 get punished for putting the welfare of Boystown at risk. They are told to clean-up certain areas for three days, which is in conflict with Arnel’s training for the upcoming competition. It inevitably results to a heated argument with his house parent/trainer, Daniel.
Meanwhile, Arnel meets Karen, who has just started working on her community service at Boystown. There is instant attraction between them but he eventually learns that she is already taken as her boyfriend Arkin came to fetch her one day. Things start to get more complicated when Arkin beats him during the swimming competition, which means that Boystown will lose its remaining sponsor. Can Arnel find a way to save the only home he ever had? And how will he deal with his growing feelings for Karen?

From then on, he begins to be more focused with his training and in control of his temper every time the village boys provoke him into a fight. On the other hand, Karen is mad at Arkin for taking her for granted when she needed him to pick her up at Boystown. It so happens that she and the Boystown boys have gone to a bar to celebrate Bobet’s birthday and they stumble upon Arkin and his friends there. Karen gets further stressed out with the fact that Arkin has grown irresponsible and even allows his friends to diss the Boystown boys’ impoverished background. But Arnel soon feels vindicated as he defeats Arkin in their next race and is about to become part of the prestigious swimming team of the Santillans.
Meanwhile, Daniel is still on the lookout for his long-lost son. Fortunately, he discovers during Lola Candy’s lucid moments that his baby has been under the care of Boystown ever since its fateful accident years ago. He then receives a call from a friend who’s tracking down his son that Arnel may be one of the three newborn babies who were registered at Boystown at the time.

- #03 | May 24 | Arkin finds more reasons to hate Arnel. Mr. Santillan is so amazed with Arnel’s talent for swimming that he decides to pay him a visit at Boystown. There he chances upon several teens who are raring to have their own family someday. He is further moved by their sad situation in life as he gets to know Arnel better. With the latter’s winning personality and willingness to improve his skills, Mr. Santillan offers to train him together with his very own swimming team. He just couldn’t believe that as young as Arnel was, he was able to go head to head with Greg who happens to be his best swimmer ever. When he later mentions this to his wife, Glenda, they both decide to invite him over and make him experience how it is to be with a family even just for a week. Only when they have extended him an invitation did Arkin learn about it, causing another row between father and son for the umpteenth time. As it is, Arkin has just broken up with Karen because of the way she rooted for Arnel the last time they had a race. Is Arnel going to steal his father’s affection from him as well?
