YOUNG actor-athlete Enchong Dee said he was honored to be part of the 72nd season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), which opened Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Excitement and scream filled the arena as Enchong showed up to represent De La Salle University at the oath of sportsmanship, with other seven representatives from the rest of the UAAP university members.

Thousands of people watched the star-studded “Star Magic: The World Concert Tour” in Ontario in California Saturday (US time), “The Buzz” reported. “The Buzz” host Kris Aquino announced that 9,000 people came to watch the concert held at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. The crowd was treated to a musical spectacle featuring more than 40 ABS-CBN talents and at least 10 dancers from the United States, according to Aquino.
ABS-CBN Star Magic has all the reasons to celebrate. The country’s largest network recently launched programs showcasing the artists of Star Magic and these programs are soaring high in the ratings game.
The talent agency is now on it 17th year. Kambal Sa Uma stars two of the industry’s beautiful faces, Shaina Magdayao and Melissa Ricks. The show is a remake of the classic movie with Rio Locsin playing the lead role. The show premiered last April 20 and it revolves around Ella and Vira, twins that have mouse-like features, each considered to be a lucky charm in their respective families yet the luck they bring seems to be not meant for them. The show is ably supported by Star Magic artists Jason Abalos, Matt Evans, Aldred Gatchalian, Carlo Guevarra and Bangs Garcia.
Rumor has it that Enchong Dee is among the cast of ABS-CBN’s TV remake of the 1980 film ‘Katorse’. He will play the role of Jojo. Keep checking back for more updates.

The Gigger Boys continue to face challenges in their own show, Your Song Presents Boystown.
“The boys have learned their way to the hearts of the viewers,” said Lino Cayetano, director of the said series. “Magaling na magpakilig ang mga binatang ito. Also, they love what they’re doing kaya madali silang bigyan ng instructions.”
