ABS-CBN Regional Network Group’s Kapamilya Karavan joins the Cebuanos in celebrating one of the country’s most colorful festivities, the Sinulog Festival 2012.
Featured in the first leg of the Kapamilya Karavan held yesterday, January 14 at Ayala Mall Terraces, were the Kapamilya network’s biggest stars such as Gerald Anderson of “Budoy,” Enchong Dee of “Maria La Del Barrio,” Kaye Abad of “Angelito,” and Jason Francisco, Melai Cantiveros, Jason Gainza, Ryan Bang and Pooh of “Banana Split.”
Gerald Anderson shared that he considers the show in Cebu’s Sinulog Festival as a thanksgiving for the ever supportive Cebuanos who watch his teleserye and look forward to his new Star Cinema movie with Sarah Geronimo.

ALL FOR JULIA! Pero, nang tanungin ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Enchong tungkol kay Julia ay hindi naman tumanggi ang actor na magbigay ng pahayag.
“Sana maging patok yung rating ng Walang Hanggan,” patungkol niya sa bagong teleserye ni Julia Montes na ipapalabas na sa darating na Lunes, January 16.
“And of course with Coco [Martin],” patuloy ni Enchong.
May himig selos ba siya sa pagbanggit sa pangalan ng leading man ni Julia sa Walang Hanggan?
“Hindi. Hindi. It’s a big move for her career kaya I’m really happy for her.

I can already imagine how much of a riot this will be. During their interview with the tv crews, they didn’t mention much about the movie, all they had to say was that it’s about 4 friends, who go on a roadtrip and discover things about themselves along the way…. Tentatively titled as The Reunion, Star Cinema’s latest movie offering gathers four of the hottest young actors to date: Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, Enrique Gil, and Kean Cipriano. The movie follows a barkada who are bound together by their passion for music and their respective pursuit of happiness.
“Ipapakita yung journey na close friends sila nung high school, tapos several years later nagkita-kita ulit sila. Meron silang hinahanap na kulang. Meron kasi silang ginawang kasalanan nung high school na feeling nila kaya hindi sila nakapag-move on sa buhay nila dahil hindi pa sila nakakapag-make amends sa ginawa nila before. Ito yung journey ng apat para hanapin yung sarili nila saka hanapin yung dating sinaktan nila at minahal nila,” said director Frasco Mortiz during their story conference at the Star Cinema office last January 10.
Although it’s their first time to work together, the four actors seemed to have established instant rapport as a group. Enchong further elaborated on the subject, “Exciting kasi first time namin makakasama si Kean. Sino ba naman ang hindi gustong makasama ang isang napakagaling na musician? Tapos for 2011, most talked about actor si Xian at si Enrique. So maganda yung mix ng group. We’re working on our camaraderie, pero yung initial meeting namin ngayon, ganito na kami [kakulit], paano pa kaya kapag nag-bonding na kami.”
Simple lang ang wish ni Enchong Dee ngayong 2012. “Gusto ko lang maging smooth-sailing [ang lahat], ‘yun din wala ring sakit, walang aksidente tsaka walang away,” aniya sa blessing ng Star Magic office sa ABS-CBN compound noong Lunes, January 9. Optimistic ang aktor na magiging maganda ang kanyang taon dahil siya ay Year of the Dragon din ipinanganak.
Noong Pasko raw ay nag-bonding sila ng kanyang pamilya sa Singapore at bumalik sa Pilipinas bago mag-New Year. Nagkita naman daw sila ng kanyang rumored girlfriend na si Julia Montes bago mag-Pasko. Hindi rin daw sila madalas nagkita over the holiday season dahil siya mismo ay naging busy para sa taping ng Maria La Del Barrio.
Sinabi rin ng binata na ipinagdarasal niya na pumatok ang team-up ni Julia with Coco Martin sa Walang Hanggan. Sa tanong kung hindi ba siya nagseselos, ang mabilis niyang sagot, “Hindi [kasi] it’s a big move for her sa career niya ‘yon.”
Tinanong din si Enchong kung mas magiging vocal ba sila ni Julia kung sakaling maging magkarelasyon na sila. Depensa niya, “We’re very open naman na kaya nga I’m really happy to say we’re friends, we see each other every now and then.”
Sa blessing ng bagong opisina ng Star Magic kahapon, January 9, sinundan ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Julia Montes upang makita kung may pagkakataong magtatabi at magkakausap sila ng nali-link sa kanya ngayon na si Enchong Dee.
Hindi namin alam kung nalingat kami at may pagkakataon na nagkalapit din sila, pero wala kaming nakita na nag-usap man lang sila.
“Happy New Year. Happy New po! Happy New! Charos!” paulit-ulit na bati ni Julia Montes habang papalapit sa amin para sa interview na ito.
Magse-seventeen pa lang si Julia.
Isang taon pa ang hihintayin ni Enchong Dee, na napababalitang interesadong lumigaw sa magandang dalaga.
“Oo. Tagal pa. Bata pa ako.
“Test yun. Wala namang lalaking naghihintay, di ba? Test yun,” nangigiti niyang sabi.
Bago pa man sumali sa showbiz ay health conscious na si Enchong Dee, o Ernest Lorenzo Dee sa totoong buhay.
Ang kanyang fit physique ang magpapatunay kung paano niya inaalagaan ang kanyang kalusugan.

Star Magic artists gathered on Monday to celebrate a thanksgiving mass to welcome the New Year.
Held at the Annunciation of Our Lord Chapel inside the ABS-CBN Compound, the mass was officiated by Fr. Tito Caluag.
The celebrities also offered the mass to the Black Nazarene.
Among the stars who attended the mass were Maricar Reyes, Vina Morales, Julia Montes, Albie Casiño, Jason Francisco, Enchong Dee, Diether Ocampo and many more.
Star Magic heads Johnny Manahan and Mariolle Alberto were also there to grace the celebration.
Following the thanksgiving mass was a ribbon cutting and blessing of Star Magic’s new home at the 11th floor of the ELJ Building.
The house blessing was spearheaded by Ocampo, Pokwang, Piolo Pascual and Shaina Magdayao.
According to PEP Alerts*, Enchong Dee is among 2011′s Top 20 Earning Male Stars in the Philippines. He ranked #16, and his earnings last year … a whooping 20 million! (*Tweet deleted as of press time.)
