After recently signing a one and a half year two-picture contract with Star Cinema, Julia Montes said she is looking forward to finishing The Reunion movie as well as starting preparations for a second film wherein she will be partnered with Enchong Dee. “Nagulat ako kasi bigla-biglaan ko lang nalaman (laughs). Kami ni Enchong sa movie never pa nagkasama pero yung sa TV medyo sa ShoutOut, nag-Katorse din pero brief lang naman ako dun,” she said.
The 16-year-old actress said she is not worried about the reaction of fans of her love team with Walang Hanggan co-star Coco Martin because she will be playing a totally different character here and Coco also his upcoming movie project with Angeline Quinto as well. “Okay naman sa akin, natatakot lang ako… sana lang naman suportahan din kami and hindi rin ako kinakabahan kasi siyempre magkaibigan din naman kami ni Enchong. Siyempre iba din naman yung role ni Coco doon so talagang makikita dun yung pagiging actor ni Coco and si Angeline first time [umarte]. Wala naman sigurong takot na baka mag-boom yung love team nila. Kung mag-boom eh di matutuwa ako kasi first movie ni Ate Angeline ito,” she told Push.com.ph.

Singer Yeng Constantino is now open to giving acting a try.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Constantino said that she would like to do a romantic comedy or action film.
“Ang gusto ko po action, kasi kapag drama baka di ako tumigil ng kakaiyak, pero kailangan may workshop pa,” Constantino said.
Given a chance, Constantino said she would like to have Vhong Navarro, John Lloyd Cruz and Enchong Dee as her leading men.
Aside from local male stars, Constantino would also like to have a project with Thai actor Mario Maurer.
“Enchong Dee, pangarap na lang din naman susulutin ko na. Natutuwa kasi ako sa kanya para siyang si Mario ng ‘Crazy Thing Called Love’ parang ganoon yung aura niya, parang ang gentle tapos mabait. Sa ngayon, natutuwa po ako sa kanya,” Constantino said.
Constantino is currently part of ABS-CBN’s Sunday show, ASAP 2012.

Kagagaling lang ni Enchong Dee sa Star Magic shows kung saan nagbigay sila ng kasiyahan sa mga OFWs sa iba’t ibang bansa. “Andami naming nakitang mga kapamilya na antagal-tagal nang gustong makita kami, antagal-tagal nang hindi nakauwi ng Pilipinas. ‘Yung koneksyon nila ‘yung TV lang, so nakakatuwa na nakita namin sila,” kuwento ng aktor.
Aniya, nagkaroon din daw siya ng oras upang maka-bond ang mga kapwa artista at lalo pang pagtibayin ang kanilang pagkakaibigan, kagaya nina Gerald Anderson at Rayver Cruz. “Hindi ko akalain na magiging close kami. Nag-start sa Canada pa, tapos ngayon dire-diretso [ang pagiging close]. Mabuti na lang may mga ganitong chance na hindi parte ng trabaho, nakakalabas kami bilang kami.”
Excited naman si Enchong sa ginagawa nilang pelikula ngayon, ang The Reunion kung saan makakasama niya sina Xian Lim, Enrique Gil, at Kean Cipriano. Paniniyak pa ni Enchong makikita nila sa pelikula kung gaano sila naging close. “Dun nila makikita sa pelikula kung ano ‘yung pagkakaibigan,” aniya.

MATTEO MOVES UP: Similarly moving up is Matteo Guidicelli, who is promoted to full leading man status via “Isla,” a “Precious Hearts Romance” presentation set to air soon on ABS-CBN.
Playing opposite “Sabel” star Jessy Mendiola, Fil-Italian Matteo says he’s ready for his close-up while naked from the waist up. As the title suggests, “Isla” is set on an island in the tradition of the Hollywood film, “Blue Lagoon.”
While juggling his days between “Isla” and his other commitments, Matteo recently took part in the Vaseline Xterra Philippines, where he competed in the 500m swimming, 30k biking and 5k run. He finished 2nd runner-up.
Matteo, a former go-kart racer, hopes to realize his dream to become a tri-athlete. Trained by top tri-athlete Noel Salvador, Matteo also took part in a full triathlon in Bantayan, Cebu on April 8.
The race involved a 1.5km swim, a 90 or 60km bike and a 10 or 21km run. He hopes to be able to join the prestigious Ironman race in August and has already registered for the relay. Matteo has invited fellow Star Magic artists, including former De La Salle University varsity swimmer Enchong Dee, to join him in the swim category.

After Maria la Del Barrio, Erich Gonzales admits she is happy with the outcome of her movie Corazon as well as a slew of other upcoming projects this year. Although she won’t be paired up with perennial love team partner Enchong Dee for a while, the pretty actress admits it doesn’t mean they won’t remain good friends. “For a teleserye siyempre I’ll miss working with Enchong. Hindi muna kami makakagawa ng teleserye for a while pero I’m going to see him pa naman sa ASAP and then yun nga, currently may ginagawa din siyang movie and ka-loveteam niya doon si Jessy Mendiola so ako naman sa Corazon ang partner ko si Derek and then for sa Suddenly It’s Magic si Mario. Masaya naman kami pareho and we’ll see each other pa rin. Definitely magkakatrabaho pa rin kami,” she shares.
The 21-year-old actress admits that after working together in various Kapamilya series like Katorse, Magkaribal and Maria la Del Barrio, her friendship with Enchong goes beyond what is seen by the camera already. “Siguro naman sa tagal naming magkasama, kumbaga bilang magka-partner kasi sa lahat ng yun nandiyan kami para sa isa’t isa. Hindi naman kami basta magka-trabaho, kahit papano naman andun naman yung friendship namin. hindi lang basta trabaho. matibay ang pagkakaibigan naming,” she explains.
After their last series, Erich adds she noticed how much Enchong has grown as an actor through the years. “Pansin ko ganun pa rin naman, pero yun nga nag-mature naman siya. Nakita niyo naman kaming dalawa together from Katorse pa na first team-up namin. Mahilig pa din siya manuod ng dvds during break time tapos mahilig pa din siya sa pagkain (laughs).”
Although there are no definite plans to see them together on screen again anytime soon, Erich is confident that they will be reunited on the small screen for sure. “It depends with the management. Sila naman talaga yung nagde-decide kung anong project yung ibibigay sa amin and kung kailan. But definitely this is not going to be our last team-up naman. Kumbaga ngayon kanya-kanyang projects muna kami,” she says.

Pop Rock Princess Yeng Constantino revealed that her desire to venture into acting was reinforced after doing a cameo role in Star Magic’s first digital film entitled Anino. “Naku kung ible-bless po ako ni God ng ganon, hindi ko po tinatanggihan yung mga ganong opportunity. Sa part ko, gusto ko magworkshop. Pero ito yung pinakauna talaga. Ginamit namin yung song ko na ‘Lapit.’ Kung mabibigyan ako ng pagkakataon na magkaroon ng acting project, sobrang delight yun sa heart ko, tatanggapin ko [kung may offer],” she said in an interview with Push.com.ph at the premiere night of Anino at SM North EDSA, Monday, March 26.
Yeng further shared that director Rahyan Carlos was also her trainor when she did her first Star Magic workshop back in 2009. When told that he saw her potential as an actress, Yeng admitted that it further inspired her to try her luck in acting eventually. “Sobrang tagal naming ‘di nagkita after ng workshop ko nung 2009. Hindi ko na rin natapos kasi sunod-sunod na yung naging shows [ko]. Kaya nung nagkita kami sa set ng Anino, sabi niya sa akin, ‘O, bakit ‘di mo na tinuloy workshop mo?’ Pinupuri nga po ako ni Direk. Parang, wow. Kasi nung time na yun, iniisip ko, ‘Para ba ito sa akin? Baka naman hindi.’ Parang ‘di ko na-feel na, kumabaga po e, [may] ibubuga nga. Masarap manggaling sa mentor mo e, na may nakita siyang potential [sa 'yo].”
Given a chance, Yeng would like to star in a romantic comedy opposite her celebrity crush Enchong Dee. “Gusto ko yung mga romantic comedy, ang light lang. Tsaka mahilig ako sa romcom. Kapag nanonood ako, minsan nai-imagine ko ako yung leading lady sa mga Koreanovela, sobrang nakakalig [at] nakakatuwa. Kapag heavy drama, workshop muna ako.” The fact that Enchong looks like Asian heartthrob Mario Maurer made Yeng like him even more. “Para siyang si Mario Maurer sa Crazy Little Thing Called Love, pinanood ko yun, nakakakilig po yun. Tinitignan ko yung character ni Mario, para siyang si Enchong,” she enthused.

Kim Chiu suffered a minor accident while performing in a dance number on “ASAP 2012,” Sunday.
The hapless actress fell on her back after her dance partner, Enchong Dee, seemingly lost his balance after while trying to heave the almost reed-thin actress upon his shoulders.
Although the fall wasn’t hard – both were able to finish the performance without sustaining injuries – the incident was quite embarrassing for both actors and the show’s coordinators.
But it isn’t as if Chiu and Dee are the only ones who have had such discomfiture on the show.
Singer Angeline Quinto also suffered a dreadfully humiliating fall on the same show last February. Quinto lost her balance when she stepped on her dress while walking towards centerstage while singing “Mahal na Mahal Kita.” The singer was down on all fours looking very much as if she’s about to cry except that she thought better of it and simply stood up and continued singing without missing a beat.
Recall, too, that Iza Calzado suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the same show only a few weeks ago. She ripped her leggings while doing an awkward split. Thankfully, the camera was quick to pan away at the momentous second.
Another memorable accident on the show occurred on March 2010, when actress Anne Curtis accidentally exposed her breast in a dance number with Sam Milby. Although Milby tried to cover Curtis by embracing her from behind— some people in the audience had already captured the incident on their mobile phones and cameras.
The production people of the Sunday musical variety show pleaded to the audience to erase the videos and pictures of the incident, most of whom heeded the appeal.
