Maalaala Mo Kaya presents a timely family story this Saturday (December 31) featuring the award-winning “Parol” episode that featured Enchong Dee and Helen Gamboa.
The said episode gave Enchong his Best Single Performance by an Actor recognition from the 2011 PMPC Star Awards for TV; while Ms. Helen was awarded with Best Single Performance by an Actress during the 8th Golden Screen TV Awards. Witness in the story how Toto (Dee), despite his blindness, inspired his whole family to win their challenges and face their lives with high hopes.
Joining Dee and Gamboa in the small screen were Nanding Josef, Philip Nolasco, Boboy Garovillo, Kenjie Garcia, Dominic Ochoa, Daisy Reyes, Ina Fileo, Cherry Lou, Angeline Urquico, Neri Naig, Jommy Teotico, Jerome Ventilla, and Gigi Posadas. The “Parol” episode was researched by Alora Ramos, written by Maan Dimaculangan, and directed by Dado Lumibao.

ABS-CBN top executives led by chairman and CEO Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III and ABS-CBN Foundation managing director Gina Lopez traveled to Cagayan de Oro Friday to join the network’s relief operations and visited more than 800 families staying at Paaralang Sentral ng Hilaga and to distribute goods from “Sagip Kapamilya: Operation Sendong” along with popular stars Piolo Pascual, Maja Salvador, and Enchong Dee.
Prior to the visit, several Kapamilya stars had joined the relief operations like Kris Aquino, Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, and Anne Curtis; Sam Milby, Diether Ocampo, Jake Cuenca, Maricar Reyes, and Rafael Rosell, John Lloyd Cruz, Shaina Magdayao, Matteo Guidicelli, and ABS-CBN channel 2 head Cory Vidanes.
Other Kapamilya talents took part in the nightly “Sagip Kapamilya: Operation Sendong Telethon” that allowed donors to help the victims of the Sendong. JM de Guzman, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Julia Montes, and Robi Domingo, among others, stayed up late to accept pledges from caller-donors here in the country and overseas.
As of Friday (Dec 22) 3pm, the total donations of “Sagip Kapamilya: Operation Sendong” have reached P42.6 million with an additional P2.1 million worth of pledges raised. On the same day, Sagip Kapamilya also reported that the program has served more than 63,000 people or around 21,252 families.
Meanwhile, “ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya: Operation Sendong” is continuously seeking for in-kind and cash donations to aid the families affected by the tragedy.

Our good friend Morgan loves making random videos (food reviews, music videos, celebrity interviews, etc.), and last time they visited the set of MLDB, he got to interview no less than Enchong Dee. Supermorgy: How old are you right now?
Enchong Dee: I’m 23.
S: And what is your shoe size?
ED: I’m 10.
S: How about your waistline?
ED: 30.
S: How many girlfriends have you had, Enchong?
ED: Ahhh, shocks, ‘di ko mabilang. (laughs)

ED: Inspired.

ED: Ang dami eh. I love blue, I love red, I love black, I love white, love green.

Hala sabi ni direk rory tumaba daw pisngi ko… Ang nangyari tuloy mas napapakain pa ko lalo kaya yung nagdala ng mga pagkain ngayon like zinger, siomai, bonchon, milk tea, tortillas, barquillos, brownies, at marami pang iba… Patol lahat… Haaaay! Pero thank you sa food atleast naramdaman ko na magpapasko na dahil sa dami ng pagkain sa paligid ko hehehe! Thank you nga pala uli sa lahat ng bumisita:) kahit ang gusto nyo talaang makita ay ang bigote ko heheh:)

Wooooow!!! Mideterranean food masarap:) sa tabi kasi ng location namin ngayon may med food:) anyway for the spirit of christmas… We decided to follow all the kapamilyas… So on friday morning ill be flying to cagayan de oro via chartered plane with more kapamilya actors:) sana makatulong kami kahit konti…

Ramdam na ramdam ko ang christmas cramming… I still have to get important gifts tomorrow and must be delivered and given also tomorrow… Haaay! Pero ok na rin ang pinaka importante is marami na akong kailangang hindi intindihin like MLDB taping kasi vacation mode na lahat ang resume namin sa jan 3 na:) im excited to do relief operation din bukas before completely having my vacation on the 25th:) oooh i forgot my pictorial pa pala ako bukas for metro magazine heheheh:)
Hindi ko alam kung bakit kami ni vesprend rayver nagpapicture sa sasakyang to:) hahahah! Ang alam ko lang dyan kami kumain at may color yellow na van… Magkapicture lang talaga:) anyway im on my way to MldB christmas slash costume slash beauty pageant slash victory party… Im super late pero atleast hindi absent heheh:) salamat nga pala sa nagpapatrending ng MLdB:) unexpected naman to:)

“I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t have vices.” This is ABS-CBN Star Magic artist Enchong Dee’s claim in a recent press conference done for a health brand that he now endorses.
Aside from making sure that he is always healthy, Enchong shared another reason why he would rather live cleanly. He’s is frugal with his finances. For him, vices are red alerts not just to his health but also to his wallet because for him, these are unnecessary costs. Enchong explained, “If you’re going to smoke every day, a pack of cigarettes, how much is that going to cost you?”
In the said press conference, Enchong good humoredly accepted when the word “kuripot” was candidly thrown around. He jokingly retorted that this is not the reason why he still doesn’t have a girlfriend. When prodded about his current love status, the single 22-year old shared that he does have a current inspiration. But when asked who this is, he slightly turned red and said he’d rather keep her identity secret for now.
