Sabay sa kanyang endorsement launch ay inanunsyo na rin ni Enchong na napili siyang maging leading man sa inaabangang adaptation ng ABS-CBN ng 1995 hit Mexican telenobela na “Maria del Barrio.” Makakatambal niya sa soap opera si Erich Gonzales. Samantala, sa kabila ng pakiusap ni Enchong na huwag nang banggitin ng media kung sino ang babaeng inuugnay sa kanya, lumutang pa rin ang pangalan ni Kim Chiu. Sa ngayon, focused muna raw siya sa kanyang career.

THE booming music from the loudspeakers served as the background to the whoops, cheers, yells and screams of the crowd. The normally chilly atmosphere of Bagiuo was transformed into a fiery state of excitement and revelry as the city celebrates its 16th Panagbenga Festival.
Though still a young festival, the Panagbenga Festival is making its mark in the public’s consciousness, with travelers from all over the Philippines and the world flocking to the summer capital of the Philippines to participate in the celebration. Hotels are be filled to capacity as revelers come by the busload.
The biggest highlight of the festival was the Grand Street Parade and the Grand Float Parade on February 26 and 27, respectively. During the event, the entire stretch of Baguio City’s Session Road was lined by thousands of spectators and supporters as different schools, organizations and companies worked their way down the street.

Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee revealed that it was him who made the meeting between actress Kim Chiu and college basketball star Simon Atkins possible.
Enchong shared he has a common friend with Simon who texted him if the cager can be introduced to Kim.
“Actually yung team captain namin sa La Salle eh nagtext siya sa akin na gusto nga daw makilala ni Simon (si Kim).”
“Magkakilala din naman kami ni Simon personally, then sinabi niya sa akin bago lumabas lahat (ng news). So, sabi ko okay lang.”
To recall, Kim said that it was a brief conversation and there was no date or meeting set between them.

I’ve added in the gallery more Panagbenga pics. Some tidbits: Enchong said on his Ktext that Coke and Jollibee both asked him to be part of their floats but he had to choose the Convergys one ‘coz they invited him first.
Also, according to Convergys’ marketing officer, they NEVER heard Enchong complain about the heavy wings, heat of the sun, costume changes and the long walks, and that he still managed to smile, share some stories and take lots of pictures with his fans despite all of those. Now that is one professional man!

If one is young, eligible, beautiful and talented, he or she has got to be affiliated with a network – either 2, 5, or 7, not necessarily in that ascending order. In an industry ruled by TV, any young aspiring actor hoping to make a name in related fields like movies and music and advertising has got to start as a TV star.
He or she can either grow a tail like Alakdana, swim as well as Agua Bendita, transform into a wolf like Angel Locsin, or act perpetually stupid like Mara and forever evil like Clara in “Mara Clara.”
The point is, you’ve got to be seen on TV to promote yourself, a movie, or a CD collection. That’s rule No. 1 if one were to start a career in entertainment in this day and age.
