Star-studded Launching of Happy, Yipee, Yehey!
Today marks the successful launching of the new Kapamilya noontime show, “Happy, Yipee, Yehey!” live at the Ynares Sports Arena, mainly hosted by John Estrada, Randy Santiago, Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla.
The Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig was filled with thousands of audience as ABS-CBN officially launched its new noontime program entrant. It was a star-studded debut, formally opened with a colorful dragon dance, in line with the recently commemorated Chinese New Year in the Philippines.
Randy Santiago made the first grand entrance with a rock-jolly song number Wag Kang Bibitiw, which was followed by another song number by John Estrada as the main male hosts of the show. The next number went to the female hosts Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla in her own version of Taralets and finally, the entrance of the ultimate multimedia star Toni Gonzaga.
After the grand opening number and on-air greetings followed the introduction of co-hosts Bianca Manalo, Melai Cantiveros, Sam Milby, Matteo Guidicelli, Bentong and the YouTube sensation Jobert whose hosting skills were weathered. And so far, everyone did a great job in hosting.
The launching was made more exciting with the presence of Kapamilya actors and actresses including Enchong Dee, Erich Gonzales, Majah Salvador, Bianca Gonzales, SCQ kids, Star Power 5 finalists, magician Alakim, Zaijian Jaranilla, Mutya and Bugoy.
In the midst of the show, a new exciting game in a form of challenge performed by young Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee. Though, he failed to win the challenge, so hosts John and Randy asked Enchong to grab an audience to do the challenge to win the allotted amount of P100, 000 as prize. But still the selected contestant failed, yet, she was still given a special prize, worth P10, 000, courtesy of the two male hosts.
Another challenge was also introduced with special participation of John Pratts, wherein the contender was selected outside the main venue. In the end, the contestant was able to grab P50, 000 as his prize for completing the challenge on a specified duration of time.
The show went on with dance and song numbers, but the climax happened during the entrance of soon-to be Mrs. Estrada, Priscilla Meirelles, in a romantic-comedy dance number with John Estrada and fellow hosts, Melai Cantiveros and Bianca Manalo.
It was then followed by a purely romantic song number with the couple Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla. After there song number, Robin has personally encouraged the people to support his wife’s new show and said he wanted nothing but only the best for Mariel. This made Mariel cry, then. The couple also invited the people to support them in their upcoming film, which scenes were taken in India.
The stars and hosts of Happy, Yipee, Yehey!, are grateful for ABS-CBN, particularly to the big bosses behind the creation and realization of this new noontime show, which is expected to hit the national TV ratings, matching the entrant shows of the other networks. Starting Monday, the show will be aired live next to Showtime, daily until Saturday at the ABS-CBN studio.
