Erich, Enchong try romantic comedy
Young stars Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee try new roles in their first mainstream film “I Do” under Star Cinema.
Known for their serious roles in ABS-CBN’s shows “Katorse” and “Tanging Yaman,” Gonzales and Dee will now be facing another challenge as actors by doing a romantic-comedy film.
In an interview during the pictorial for the movie, the on-screen partners shared more about the film’s story and their characters.
“Well ‘yong story po is about a young couple na hindi matuloy-tuloy ang kasal. Nakakatawa actually ang movie at I’m sure ang daming makaka-relate kasi dito si Yumi [ang character ko], palagi siyang naghahanap ng sinasabi niyang ‘the one,’” Gonzales said.
For Dee, he said that it’s their time to try something new, to try lighter characters.
“It’s time to laugh. It’s time to realize the lighter things in life,” the actor said.
Gonzales said it won’t be easy doing the film especially since they need to have the right timing in saying their lines. The young actress said they are still in the process of learning their roles.
“This is comedy din kasi, so siyempre nandoon ang timing at pagbitaw mo ng linya so kailangan talagang aralin,” she said.
The on-screen couple said their first movie together is a big blessing and that they are grateful to their fans for their support.
“Dream come true po para sa amin. Sobrang thankful po kasi binigyan kami ng chance ng Star Cinema,” Gonzales said.
“Sa lahat po ng supporters namin, finally ito na po ‘yon. Kita-kita tayo sa sinehan soon,” Dee added.
