Walking down the aisle has never been this complicated. For one young girl, it took her four times to finalize her wedding plans before she eventually tied the knot with her beloved groom.
“I Do is based on a true story.
Direk Veronica describes I Do as a “roller coaster ride alternating between tears and laughter.” She considers this to be her first mainstream movie after helming the acclaimed Maricel Soriano film Inang Yaya (2006) and the 2009 Cinemalaya Best Picture Last Supper No. 3.

You have to be a movie fan to spot what makes a loveteam tick.
“It takes one to know one,” said Malou Santos, managing director of Star Cinema, the Home of Wholesome Entertainment, which has groomed today’s most exciting loveteams, from Aga Muhlach with different leading ladies (Sharon Cuneta, Maricel Soriano, Angelica Panganiban, Claudine Barretto, et al) to Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa, Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga, John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez, Angelica Panganiban and Derek Ramsay, etc.
“I’m a movie fan myself,” added Malou like her sister Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN lady boss, was fan at heart.
That’s why Malou was honored when Vilma, The Star For All Seasons, did four movies for Star Cinema, all moneymakers — Anak, Bata, Bata, Paano Ka Ginawa, Dekada 70 and the recent one, made in the USA, In My Life co-starring Vilma’s own son Luis Manzano and John Lloyd Cruz.

ABS-CBN actor Enchong Dee couldn’t believe his good luck.
Apart from the prime time soap “Magkaribal,” he was given two major movies by Star Cinema: The drama “Sa ’Yo Lamang” last month and the forthcoming rom-com, “I Do” (which opens Sept. 29).
The flip side of fame, however, is controversy. Enchong has also been having his share of intrigues lately, particularly after he crashed his car into a jeepney on Taft Avenue. One of the injured passengers, Marlon Bonales, said on the TV5 talk show “Paparazzi” that Enchong had run away from accountability.
Enchong explained that he failed to meet with Bonales personally because he was in hospital due to dengue. “I was surprised that he went on TV,” Enchong said. “I was prepared to give what he needed.”
