Enchong Dee’s camp denounces ‘Paparazzi’ report; suspects segment was orchestrated.
The brother of Enchong Dee has refuted a report aired on TV5’s “Paparazzi” that says the actor allegedly reneged on his obligations to the man he injured in a vehicular accident.
“Nagkausap-usap na kaming lahat na pamilya and we have all the evidence na hindi siya pinabayaan ni Enchong. Hindi siya tinakbuhan ni Enchong dahil ilang beses siya nagpunta dun at nagbigay ng financial help. May mga papers kami at sasagutin namin ‘yon dahil hindi totoo ang lumabas sa Paparazzi,” read AJ Dee’s text message to the Philippine Entertainment Portal.
“Paparazzi” reported on Aug. 22 that Enchong injured a Marlon Bonales when the latter’s vehicle hit a jeep that the latter was on. Marlon showed the injury he sustained to his right leg, which he claims has temporarily immobilized him.
“Ang gusto ko sanang mangyari, e, magamot itong paa ko. Binigyan nga nila [referring to Enchong] ako ng konting tulong, pero sana naman, e, huwag nila ako pabayaan hanggang sa gumaling ako.”
Marlon added: “Sana, magpakita naman sa amin si Enchong kasi ako naman ang nabiktima, e. Kasi, pinabayaan na niya ako, e, hindi pa naman talaga ako magaling. Sana naman, e, magpakalalaki siya!”
AJ denied that Enchong has scrimped on his obligations to Marlon. He has a theory on why he said what he did on air.
“We are now wondering kung bakit iba ang kanyang mga sinasabi sa interview. Hindi kaya pinilit lang siyang magsalita ng reporter ng Paparazzi?”
And though Enchong himself has not come out to air his side of the story, AJ said that his brother will probably do so on an ABS-CBN show once he has fully recovered from dengue.
“At kapag nalaman namin kay Marlon na pinilit lang siyang magsalita, e, mali talaga ‘yon. Lalong hindi namin nagustuhan kay Marlon yung sinabi niya na magpakalalaki siya [Enchong], dahil sobrang mali ‘yon,” AJ said.
Morly Alinio of “Paparazzi,” who interviewed Marlon, denied orchestrating the segment.
