Erich, source of tension between Coco and Enchong
TIYAK na jackpot ang mahihilig manood ng pelikulang Pilipino sa 17th anniversary offering ng Star Cinema, ang Sa ’Yo Lamang.
Dubbed as the biggest family drama of 2010, the film marks the comeback of two of the biggest names sa pelikulang drama, sina Christopher de Leon at Lorna Tolentino.
“We’ve both waited this long para lang muling gumawa ng movie na magkasama,” ang siyang-siyang wika ni Boyet, now a municipal board member of Batangas City. “Isa sa favorite leading ladies ko si LT (pet name ni Lorna).”
“Sa kaso ko,” lahad naman ni LT, “it’s a given na na-miss ko ang paggawa ng pelikula. And having Boyet (Christopher’s pet name naman) for my leading man is a bonus.”
If you recall, LT has not worked on any movie since the death of her husband, action and drama star Rudy Fernandez, nearly three years ago.
She did a drama series, pero ang gumanap na leading man niya ay ang comebacking actor ding si Gabby Concepcion.
LT is currently featured bilang isang ‘nawawala’ sa sarili kasama sina Xyriel Manabat at E-Jay Falcon sa fantasy series na Momay also on ABS-CBN.
Sa ’Yo Lamang boasts of a new set of young stars, all tested na sa box-office at pag-arte. Ito’y sina Bea Alonzo, Diether Ocampo, Coco Martin, Zanjoe Marudo, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee, Empress Schuck, Miles Ocampo and Lauren Young.

Directing Sa ’Yo Lamang is Laurice Guillen, who directed Tanging Yaman which, to date, is considered as one of the biggest moneymakers ng Star Cinema.
Tanging Yaman, also a family drama, made history in the 2000 Metro Manila filmfest when it was not just adjudged as top grosser but also romped off with the most number of awards, including best picture.
“With Sa ’Yo Lamang,” sabi ng Star Cinema managing director na si Malou Santos, “we hope to repeat, wika nga, the history created by Tanging Yaman in showbiz.
“As we all notice, the song Sa ’Yo Lamang, just like Tanging Yaman, is often sung in church. Sa puntong ’yan lang, may recall na ang movie,” dagdag ni Malou.
Sa ’Yo Lamang is the second directorial job ni Direk Laurice since bawian ng buhay ang kanyang asawang si Johnny Delgado, known in his time as one of the most effective character actors sa movies and tv.
According to Direk Laurice, it was Johnny who encouraged her to continue working on I Love You, Goodbye, kahit nang mga panahong ’yon, he was dying of cancer.
I Love You, Goodbye, which starred reel and real-life sweethearts Angelica Panganiban and Derek Ramsay, was the entry ng Star Cinema in last year’s MMFF.
I Love You… emerged as second top grosser to Senator Bong Revilla’s Ang Panday, na siyang nag- No. 1 sa box-office.

Come to think of it, we wonder kung anong klaseng relationship meron bilang magkatrabaho sina Coco Martin at Enchong Dee, lalo’t kung magkasama sila sa isang eksena?
Halata raw kasing may selosang namamagitan sa dalawa and the reported cause of it all is Erich Gonzales.
Sina Enchong and Erich ay kilala bilang magka-loveteam. But Enchong himself admitted na bumu-buwelo pa siya bago ligawan si Erich.
Quick to the draw, wika nga, si Coco ay nanliligaw na kay Erich. There are talks na may posibilidad na maging ‘sila’ in due time.
