Enchong Dee admits he has a crush on Bea Alonzo
Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales will be joining Gretchen Barretto and Bea Alonzo in the much-anticipated teleserye Magkaribal. The two have already starred in two back-to-back dramas Katorse and Tanging Yaman. During the pictorial for Magkaribal, Enchong expressed his gratitude to the fans and to the network whom he considers as the forces behind the success of the EnRich love team. “Three in a row na ‘yung teleserye namin. Napaka-thankful namin kasi sa celebration dito ABS-CBN ng 60 years of Pinoy soap opera e may project para sa amin.”
But before Enchong and Erich’s characters get paired up in Magkaribal, Enchong will first have a romance with Bea. “First time kong magiging close si Bea sa story. Magkaibigan kami sa Divisoria. Sa story matagal na akong may gusto sa kanya pero hindi talaga pwede kasi ang tingin lang niya sa akin e batang kapatid. Nakakabwisit. He he he!”
The actor-swimmer blushed while he confessed that Bea is one of his biggest crushes in showbiz. “Paghanga lang naman. Ha ha ha! Kasi kung titingnan mo siya parang mature ang dating. Pero kapag magkasama na kami lumalabas ‘yung pagkamakulit na parang bata.” It was also because of this crush that Enchong had long been praying for a chance to work with the teleserye princess. “Si Bea naman ang tagal ko nang naghihintay na maka-work siya pero hindi nangyayari. Madalas ko siyang makita sa ASAP pero hanggang hi-hello lang kami. Walang time na maka-bonding ko siya.”
Enchong revealed Bea would often ask him about his love life whenever they had any pre-production work for Magkaribal, especially about the real score between him and Erich. “Si Bea ‘yung laging nagsasabi sa akin na, ‘Enchong magkwento ka naman!’ Gusto niya lagi siyang nakaka-relate sa love life ko.”
Enchong and Erich have both admitted that they are exclusively dating, but they have yet to make any serious commitment. Now that Enchong has admitted his crush on Bea, does Erich have the right to feel jealous? “Dapat talagang pagselosan niya…kasi sa story ganun talaga ‘yung mangyayari sa mga characters namin. Ganun ang takbo ng istorya. He he he!,” he joked.
Aside from working Erich and Bea, Enchong shared that he is looking forward to working with the other cast members as well. “Si Ms. Gretchen gustong-gusto niya talaga itong project na ito. Matagal na niya hinihintay ito. Kapag nakikita ko siyang dumadating sa set lagi siyang enthusiastic. Si Derek (Ramsay) naman naka-work ko na dati ngayon heto uli kami, kulitan na naman sa set.”
