Cases of cellular phone theft in the Philippines went up in 2009, based on figures released by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
The NTC received a total of 813 actual cases of missing cellular phones from January to November 2009. Metro Manila registered the highest number of cases at 785.
The commission said the total figure was 10 percent higher compared to the previous year. The figures do not include unreported incidents of cell phone losses.

After their successful team-up in the late afternoon teleserye Katorse, which will end on Friday, January 8, young stars Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee will work together again on ABS-CBN’s first TV offering in 2010, the early primetime series Tanging Yaman.
PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press cornered the young loveteam last night, January 4, at the press conference of Tanging Yaman at the 9501 restaurant of ABS-CBN. Both Erich and Enchong expressed their happiness about teaming up again in this TV series.
They also agree that it was a good idea to be paired with each other again since they’re personally close to one another.

ABS-CBN.com conducted an online poll on the hot new love teams to watch out for this 2010.
Another successful new love team this year was Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales who got 6% of votes from the poll. Enchong and Erich had a huge following in Katorse which also enjoyed high primetime ratings.
The two young stars had each been featured in love teams in previous projects, but their pairing has become a ratings success.
They were even featured in the Cinema One Original movie Paano Ko Sasabihin?
