Four promising stars as role models in ‘Katorse’
“Katorse,” the most-awaited series on ABS-CBN that will fire up the prime career of four of the most promising stars of their generation: “2005 Star Circle Quest” grand questor Erich Gonzales; “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus” winner Ejay Falcon; model-athlete Xian Lim; and champion swimmer-actor-achiever Enchong Dee, is all set to embellish your TV screens starting Aug. 24.
“I still can’t believe that finally, I’ll be taking on a lead role in a series, a dream come true I must say,” Erich enthused. She will be giving life to the role of Nena, who at a young age is confronted with life’s difficulties and complexities.
“Tapos na rin ang paghihintay ko at masasabi ko na worth it naman lahat iyon. Ngayon sa pagsabak ko sa isang project, gagawin ko lahat ng kaya ko para mapasaya ang mga manonood,” Ejay expressed. Ejay will portray the character of Gabby, the “bad boy” in the series. But as the story unfolds, his character slowly redeems.
“When I was told that I will be one of the main cast members of the ‘Katorse’ TV-remake, I was really overjoyed. ‘Katorse’ is a really big break on my part,” Xian shared. The athlete turned model/actor will breathe life to Albert, Gabby’s elder brother, completing the love triangle of brothers.
“I’m just so thankful for the opportunities. Lalo na sa trust na binibigay ng management sa akin,” Enchong Dee uttered. The swimmer/actor will play the role of Jojo, Gabby’s bestfriend who will stand up for Nena once she gets pregnant.
Under the direction of Malu Sevilla, “Katorse” majorly touches on the real life issues of adolescents encompassing conflicts on principle, love, responsibility, and parenthood. The series also tackles on a moving love story which will encircle and magnify important values and lessons that viewers ought to realize.
