Enchong Dee and Kim Chiu on new movie “Ikaw Na Nga”?
It’s confirmed! The Kim Chui and Gerald Anderson love team, endearingly called by fans (friends and supporters) as Kimerald, will not be together in “Ikaw Na Nga.” Enchong Dee takes over the role originally assigned to Gerald in the Kris Aquino starrer for the 2009 Manila Film Festival. Gerald was not allowed by Star Magic to accept the comedy role as it’s contradictory to his new mature actor packaging besides the role being a minor one.
There’s only one way to prevent Kimerald’s break-up, that is, if Kris is unable to do the movie due to the uncertainty of ex-Pres. Cory Aquino’s health condition. If this happens, casting will probably change cast main members or adjust the s script as Star Cinema is committed to field an entry in the annual filmfest.
The full-length feature has been experiencing pre-production troubles. Gerald was removed for reasons stated above. “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame cannot do the movie as his hectic schedule does not permit. And Kris’ mother is ill. But knowing Star Cinema as a professional film production company, it will solve all problems.
Kimerald fans must take the separation of Kim and Gerald as temporary and a career strategy that will solidify the love team’s impressive critical and economic gains. It’s a necessary move that will ensure their growth as actors and keep the interest in the love team from going down.
