Enchong Dee has ‘supernatural’ power
Aside from great acting skills, what other “super talent” does young actor Enchong Dee possess?
Well, Dee shared that he has the ability to perceive things that others cannot, more commonly called extrasensory perception (ESP).
In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com during a press conference for his latest TV project “Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo’s: Nasaan Ka Maruja,” Dee shared that there are times that he can feel and see things that cannot be seen by ordinary eyes.
“Honestly minsan may mga times ako na, like, nararamdaman ko na my mamatay ‘yong ganoon. Pero hindi ko masyadong iniintindi kasi baka dahil skeptic din ako, kasi baka pagod lang ako pero minsan bigla na lang kakabog ang dibdib ko tapos after a week may nalalaman akong namatay,” he said.
Dee said that a concrete example of his “special” ability was when he reportedly foreboded his great grandmother’s death.
“Nakita ko kung kailan mamatay dati ‘yong great grandma ko. Naramdaman ko lang tapos nanaginip ako ng mga lumulutang na kabaong, nakakatakot,” he said.
He also shared that just last month he saw an image of a man running in front of him.
“It’s my first time nagpunta ako sa [University of the Philippines] late na kasi pauwi na. May nakita ako na parang silhouette ng lalaki, itim. Tumakbo siya in front of us, tatlo kaming nakakita pero hindi ako kinabahan parang sabi ko ‘wow’ parang naging interested ako. Siguro iyon yung thinking about the ability na hindi mo ire-repel but parang i-embrace mo inside,” he said.
The actor admitted that he sometimes wishes that he could hone his ESP but he is afraid of what he might see.
“Noong Holy Week pinagdasal ko na sana ay mag-one step higher, pero nakakatakot din [ako]. Nakakatakot din na ma-enhance ang ability [ko],” he said.
Dee added that if he could focus on some other ability, he would prefer acting. “I’m interested but not to the extent na nurturing it, may nagsasabi na ‘siguro may special ability ka’ pero siguro acting na lang ang ibigay na special ability sa akin ni Lord,” he said.
Dee, who is graduating from college this June, will have his first starring role in Kapamilya’s upcoming TV show “Boystown.”
Dee is also part of the new all male group “Gigger Boys” who regularly performs for ABS-CBN’s weekly variety show “ASAP ’09.”
