Enchong Dee spoke up about the growing number of online bashers nowadays and how he has learned to deal with it. “In this day and age, we can’t disregard haters or bashers. People expect that celebrities can always be or will always be strong. But always remember, at the end of the day, we’re just like you,” he told StarStudio magazine during his interview for its March issue.
He stressed that celebrities are just like everybody else who could be offended or hurt so people should be mindful of what they post. “Kapag ikaw sinabihan ka na mayabang or ‘pag sinabihan ka na wala kang kwentang tao, masasaktan ka rin, ‘di ba? We’re not dolls, or we’re not stuffed toys na kahit ano’ng sabihin mo, kaya namin maging manhid,” he said.
Enchong Dee leads the way as StarStudio gets ready for a big pre-summer splash in its March 2014 issue that is hot, hot, hot!
A former bemedalled collegiate athlete, Enchong traces his showbiz beginnings and career rise to his current ‘hot’ leading man status. He also shares with StarStudio readers his business, givesus a look at his van and Porsche sports car and shares his latest passion for wakeboarding.
Also making his StarStudio debut in this issue is Joseph Marco, currently starring in the primetime hit Honesto. In his first-ever feature for the magazine, Joseph talks about his showbiz beginnings, the turning points in his career, his fitness secrets—how he got his body to look that way—and the other elements that make up this rising young hunk who is fast becoming one of showbiz’s hot properties.

Why did Enchong Dee pick Erich Gonzales to be his Valentine’s Day date?
During the story conference of Star Cinema’s upcoming movie “Once A Princess,” held last January 28, Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales revealed that they will spend Valentine’s Day together because they are shooting for the said movie that day.
Enchong exclaims, “Magkasama kaming dalawa sa araw ng mga puso.” To which Erich replies, “Oo, nasa shooting kami ‘nun – work, work, work.”
“Once A Princess” marks Enchong and Erich’s movie reunion after “I Do,” and it is the first time that the two young stars are working with respected director Laurice Guillen.
Direk Laurice expressed excitement over working with the love team.
It’s been months since super-typhoon Yolanda ravaged several areas in Visayas, but thousands of families are still in need of aid to rebuild their lives. Coca-Cola Philippines, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), and Habitat for Humanity joined forces on Thursday, January 31, to launch #RebuildPH project at the Araneta Center, Cubao with the aim of rehabilitating houses, schools and water systems in the Visayas.
The event was graced by several celebrities including Robi Domingo who served as show host; actors and Coca-Cola Philippines ambassadors Julia Montes, Kathryn Bernardo, Joseph Marco and Enchong Dee; lawyer Adel Tamayo, who is also vice president of public affairs and communications of Coca-Cola; Cecile Alcantara, president of Coca-Cola foundation; Richard Gordon, chairman of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC); and Charlie Ayco, president of Habitat for humanity.
Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales are set to reunite on the big screen in the upcoming romantic-drama “Once A Princess,” a movie adaptation of the best-selling Precious Hearts Romances book.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Dee said he is elated to be paired with Gonzales again three years after they last teamed up in the movie “I Do.”
“The last time I did a romantic film was also with Erich, yung ‘I Do.’ So ang tagal na rin kasi lahat ng pelikula ko either barkada film, family film, comedy film. Now it’s time for me to do a romantic film again so it’s exciting,” he said.
Dee said he will be playing the role of the class geek who will eventually turn out to be a successful scientist.
“Ako si Leonard. He’s a scientist. Matalino kasi siya so outcast siya. As he grows older, naging mayaman siya kasi scientist siya eh,” he said.
Gonzales, on the other hand, will take on the role of a “princess,” who played around with Leonard’s heart when they were younger.
“Once A Princess” is directed by the award-winning Laurice Guillen.
Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales will be together again in a movie this year.
The love team has been separated for three years after working on the ABS-CBN teleserye “Maria la del Barrio” in 2011.
“Pinag-uusapan nga namin na parang excited kami sa isa’t isa,” Enchong said in an interview Sunday morning, January 26 at the 1K@Amway fun run.
“But at the same time kinakabahan kami because we haven’t worked for so long. Buti na lang hindi nila kami pinabayaan after three years of break,” he added.
Enchong went straight to the fun run immediately after arriving from Dubai, where he went for a show with the other Kapamilya stars of ASAP.
He said he can’t help but admire the Filipinos overseas they met in Dubai because even if they are seas away from their families, they can still manage to smile.
“Nakakatuwa kasi parang hindi ako nakakita ng Pilipino na malungkot parang lahat nakatawa, lahat masaya,” he said describing the Filipinos they encountered in Dubai.
“Kaya buti na lang talaga nadadala namin ang ASAP sa iba’t ibang lugar kasi makikita mo talaga kung gaano kasabik ‘yong mga tao na maramdaman nilang Kapamailya talaga, Kapatid, Kapuso na sa TV nila mapapanood makikita nila in person.”
